HMD Global x Nokia partner with The Flash Pack for IFA 2017: Nokia 8 launched at The Home of Nokia

For the opening day of IFA Berlin 2017, The Flash Pack partnered with HMD Global to create a totally unique installation, celebrating the launch of their new flagship Android smartphone, the Nokia 8; To do this, we created The Home of Nokia.

Just a stone's throw from the IFA conference, members of the tech press were invited to the opening day of the Home of Nokia; To get there, delegates were whisked away from the hustle and bustle, by the fleet of HMD Global x Nokia custom Audi A8s running throughout the day.*

Stepping into the Home, the newly announced Nokia 8 was showcased, debuting each of its three ‘world first’ innovative features; To create maximum impact on guests, we produced three main activation spaces within the Home - celebrating each feature to forge memorable experiences with the new device.

The Live Stream lounge was designed to introduce the Nokia 8's Dual-Sight live streaming capabilities, seamlessly fusing together images and video from both the front and back camera. The new way to capture, stream and view content in the next generation of the selfie, the Bothie.

Flowing through to the Bothie Room and playing on people's love to create content, guests stepped into a tropical plant filled, neon, photo taking paradise - exploring the full aspects of the Bothie feature, creating incredible Dual-Sight photos, sharing them through the nearby touch screens in the jungle area.

The third experience space explored the Nokia 8’s 360 Spatial OZO audio capabilities; In the dark space, guests enjoyed tuning out all other sights and sounds to enjoy 360 audio, all captured on the Nokia 8 using three internal microphones, as well as hearing sound comparisons from content shot on other smartphones.

After exploring the three feature rooms, guests stepped into a relaxed environment - allowing them to unwind, chat, learn more about the Nokia 8, and grab a bite to eat in the fully open plan dining/ kitchen area.

As the day moved forward, guests welcomed acoustic singer/ songwriters, Emma Elisabeth and the band RIKAS to bring in the evening; Creating moments to share and livestream – shooting their own Bothies with the audience.

With the Home of Nokia having been open through to Saturday the 2nd of September, delegates were welcomed to explore the Home of Nokia, learn more about the innovative Nokia 8, capture moments, and gain insight from the senior HMD Global team - creating immediate media buzz and coverage in international publications.
